Vice President Candidate Makes Million-Dollar Move

She’s showing her dedication.

Nicole Shanahan, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s chosen running mate, made a substantial financial contribution to their underdog presidential campaign just a day after her vice presidential selection was announced last month.

Shanahan, a well-to-do attorney and entrepreneur, formally joined the Kennedy ticket in Oakland, California, on March 26. The subsequent day, she injected $2 million into the campaign, as indicated by Kennedy’s recent Federal Election Commission filing. While Shanahan had previously made smaller donations to Kennedy’s campaign, her candidacy on the ticket now enables her to contribute unlimited amounts of her personal funds to support the endeavor.

Prior to this, Shanahan had also contributed millions to the super PAC backing Kennedy’s independent campaign, American Values 2024, in February, notably for an advertisement aired during the Super Bowl.

The initial report of Shanahan’s financial backing of the Kennedy campaign was first disclosed by Puck.

Although Shanahan has not made public appearances alongside Kennedy or participated in live interviews since her introduction in late March, she has been active on social media, documenting visits to various locations such as the southern border in Yuma, Arizona.

During a rally in Iowa over the weekend, Kennedy addressed inquiries regarding Shanahan’s absence from public engagements thus far, assuring that such appearances would occur in the forthcoming weeks. He elaborated on Shanahan’s recent engagements, emphasizing her travels across the country to engage with farmers, visit border states affected by pollution incidents, and connect with individuals who have experienced job loss, underscoring her commitment to understanding the concerns of ordinary Americans. Kennedy expressed pride in Shanahan’s efforts, highlighting their frequent communication and his anticipation of joint appearances in the future.

The duo is slated to host a virtual Earth Day event on April 22. Additionally, the Kennedy-Shanahan campaign announced on Wednesday that they have successfully secured a spot on the ballot in pivotal Michigan, where Kennedy is scheduled to participate in a campaign event on Sunday.
