Tulsi Gabbard Explains Bold Endorsement

Democrats want to know why she endorsed Trump.

Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard recently discussed her decision to endorse former President Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election over Vice President Kamala Harris. Gabbard made her endorsement public at the National Guard Association of the United States’ 146th General Conference in Detroit, shortly after Trump honored fallen service members at Arlington National Cemetery.

On “The Ingraham Angle,” Gabbard, a veteran of the Iraq War, praised Trump for his leadership qualities, asserting that he values every life and shows the strength and courage necessary for effective diplomacy. She criticized Harris, claiming that her leadership has led to increased risks of global conflict and questioning whether she has reached out to the families of those affected by the 2021 Abbey Gate suicide bombing.

Gabbard pointedly questioned Harris’s actions following the bombing, specifically whether Harris had personally apologized to the families of the 13 service members who died in the attack. She argued that Harris’s handling of the situation reveals her unfitness for the role of commander-in-chief.

In response, Harris and President Biden issued statements on the anniversary of the bombing, honoring the fallen service members. Harris expressed deep sorrow and respect for the soldiers, acknowledging their sacrifice and the pain experienced by their families. Gabbard, meanwhile, emphasized her support for Trump as a choice for president, contrasting his commitment to freedom, peace, and prosperity with what she perceives as Harris’s failure to protect these values and manage the country’s challenges effectively.
