He’s still doing well.
A recent poll indicates that former President Donald Trump enjoys a higher favorability rating among likely voters than pop icon Taylor Swift. Conducted by The New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena College, the survey of 2,436 participants revealed that 44% of respondents hold a favorable opinion of Swift, while 34% view her unfavorably.
In contrast, Trump’s favorability stands at 47%, although 51% of those surveyed express unfavorable views toward him. Vice President Kamala Harris also received mixed ratings, with 48% of likely voters viewing her positively and 49% negatively.
The poll, which has a margin of error of three percentage points, was carried out from September 11 to 16, just after Swift publicly endorsed Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz. On September 10, following a presidential debate, Swift shared her support on Instagram, stating her belief in Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and highlighting Walz’s advocacy for various social issues.
Swift’s endorsement seems to have intensified partisan divides, as the poll showed that 70% of Democrats view her favorably, compared to 41% of independents and only 23% of Republicans. Among Republicans, 60% expressed unfavorable opinions about Swift, while a mere 11% of Democrats shared that sentiment.
