Trump Super PAC Targets Key Swing States

They are planning on using $100 million.

A pro-Donald Trump super PAC, MAGA Inc., has announced plans to allocate $100 million for advertising over the summer in key swing states, aiming to bolster the former president’s electoral prospects. The strategy, outlined in a memo to donors by group CEO Taylor Budowich, targets Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada as pivotal battlegrounds crucial to Trump’s potential victory.

Despite acknowledging financial challenges, MAGA Inc. remains confident in Trump’s electoral viability and pledges to allocate resources strategically to maximize impact. The group, reporting a significant fundraising haul of $70 million in May alone, aims to counter Democratic efforts in crucial states.

Meanwhile, Democratic-aligned super PACs are also gearing up for aggressive ad campaigns, with plans to spend $50 million in key swing states. However, the Biden campaign has not yet commented on the latest developments.

Trump’s recent legal woes, including his indictment on multiple counts related to a payment made during the 2016 election campaign, have sparked a surge in fundraising for his campaign. Despite ongoing legal battles, MAGA Inc. intends to focus its advertising efforts on broader political issues rather than Trump’s court proceedings.

The super PAC views winning Pennsylvania as pivotal to its strategy and has already invested heavily in the state. Similarly, Georgia, historically a challenging state for Trump, is considered crucial for his electoral path to victory.

MAGA Inc. plans to allocate resources to “Out West,” targeting Arizona and Nevada, with a focus on reaching difficult-to-reach voter demographics. Notably, a significant portion of the super PAC’s expenditures has gone toward legal expenses, reflecting Trump’s ongoing legal battles.
