He’s using fiery rhetoric.
Former President Donald Trump claimed on Tuesday that decisions being made in the White House are influenced by a group he described as “fascists, communists, and Marxists.” Speaking on “The Ingraham Angle,” Trump accused Democrats of threatening democracy, arguing that recent events show their disregard for democratic norms.
Trump, in an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, criticized the Democrats for allegedly orchestrating a “coup” by replacing President Joe Biden with Vice President Kamala Harris as the 2024 presidential candidate. He suggested that Biden’s removal was executed in a manner akin to treating him like a child, despite significant public support for him in the primaries.
When asked about who is in charge while Harris campaigns and Biden faces scrutiny over his mental health, Trump implied that a radical group controls the White House and the Department of Justice. He expressed skepticism about Biden’s role in making major decisions, stating, “I don’t think he knows he’s alive.”
As Harris aims to secure the Democratic nomination at the August Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Ingraham pointed out her use of pronouns in her X bio and asked Trump about his own pronouns. Trump responded dismissively, stating he does not want to engage with the concept of pronouns, which he finds confusing.
Trump asserted that the Republican Party is grounded in common sense and criticized the Democratic Party for what he perceives as a descent into chaos. He emphasized that Republicans advocate for low taxes, strong education, and the preservation of the American Dream for future generations. Trump lamented that the American Dream has become less prominent in recent discourse and reiterated his commitment to making it a central goal for the country’s youth.
