He wants to lead America into a golden age.
After securing more than 270 electoral votes, President-elect Donald Trump addressed his supporters early Wednesday morning, proclaiming his victory as the result of “the greatest political movement of all time.” He hailed his campaign as one of a kind, not just in the United States but potentially worldwide, and stressed the need to heal the nation while confronting its many challenges. Trump focused on key areas of reform, including tackling border issues, and promised to work for the betterment of all citizens, vowing to make America stronger and more prosperous.
Trump’s victory was confirmed by Fox News projections, which showed him winning vital battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, and North Carolina, securing the electoral votes needed to surpass the 270 threshold. He described his win as a historic triumph, noting the challenges his campaign had overcome, and expressed deep appreciation for the unwavering support of his followers. He reiterated his pledge to “make America great again” and ensure a bright future for all Americans.
Vice President-elect JD Vance also delivered remarks, praising Trump’s leadership and framing the victory as a remarkable political comeback. Vance echoed Trump’s commitment to fight for the American people and stressed the importance of rebuilding the economy under his administration. The event was attended by Trump’s family, including Melania and Barron Trump, as well as high-profile supporters like UFC President Dana White and entrepreneur Elon Musk, who were acknowledged during the speech.
Trump outlined his vision for the country, promising to restore safety, strength, and freedom. He also mentioned victories in additional states like Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, and Alaska, which, if confirmed, would push his total electoral votes to over 315. Trump claimed victory in the popular vote as well. Throughout the speech, he called on all Americans to join him in making the country great again and contribute to its success.
Meanwhile, the Harris-Walz campaign had wrapped up its evening, with campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon advising their supporters to get rest as the results continued to show Trump in the lead. Harris chose to delay her remarks and instead planned to address the public on Wednesday.
