People are tired of Biden.
Stephen A. Smith has openly expressed his belief that a change in presidency is necessary, citing concerns about President Biden’s potential re-election bid. Despite Biden’s apparent intentions to run again, Smith has expressed dismay, emphasizing Biden’s age, 82 if re-elected, and what he perceives as declining performance.
Smith pointedly highlighted his reservations about Biden’s perceived decline and his ideal scenario involving Vice President Kamala Harris playing a more impactful role, which, according to Smith, hasn’t materialized.
In offering a potential solution for the Democratic Party, Smith proposed the notion that Biden should step aside, allowing California Governor Gavin Newsom to step forward as a presidential candidate against the Republican nominee. While sharing this viewpoint with OutKick’s Clay Travis, Smith stressed that this stance didn’t necessarily reflect his personal support.
Reiterating his concerns about Biden’s age, Smith conveyed a sense of urgency, stating, “We need a new president. The man is gonna be 82 years of age in the year 2024. There’s no way around it. We need to stop.”
Additionally, Smith acknowledged that while some liberals approve of certain actions taken by Biden, such as handling the economy and criminal justice reforms, his stance remains firm on advocating for a leadership change.
