Podcaster Drops Surprise Endorsement Right Before The Election

He stunned fans.

Podcaster Joe Rogan publicly announced his support for former President Donald Trump in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday night. Following a recent interview with Elon Musk on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan endorsed Trump, encouraging listeners to check out the Musk interview.

“The incredible @elonmusk. If not for him, we’d be in serious trouble. He makes the most convincing case for Trump I’ve heard, and I’m with him every step. For the record, yes, this is a Trump endorsement. Enjoy the podcast,” Rogan posted. Responding to Rogan’s endorsement, Trump expressed his appreciation during a live event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

“Thank you, Joe. That’s really nice. And he doesn’t usually do endorsements,” Trump noted. “He’s typically more liberal than a lot of people here,” he said, adding that he had a great experience on Rogan’s show. “It was a fantastic 3-hour interview,” Trump shared.

Trump went on to say, “Joe doesn’t do endorsements, but he just did one, so I want to thank him.” Trump’s running mate, Senator J.D. Vance, also appeared on Rogan’s show last week, shortly after Trump’s extended interview.

Rogan reflected positively on his experience interviewing Trump, describing him as genuine and humorous. He was particularly impressed by Trump’s endurance during the lengthy conversation. “It’s wild,” Rogan said. “The podcast went on for three hours. He didn’t need a break before or after. He just walked out.”

Previously, Rogan had considered interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris, but those plans fell through due to conditions set by her team. Harris’s campaign required the interview to be limited to one hour and requested that Rogan travel to her instead of recording in his Austin, Texas studio, which led to the interview being canceled.
