Does he still want her as his VP?
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem shared her insights on what former President Donald Trump might seek in a potential running mate during an interview with Fox News host Lawrence Jones. Noem emphasized the importance of selecting a vice president who is not entrenched in the political establishment, suggesting that Trump would benefit from someone with a background in business and leadership.
“I’m fully committed to supporting the team in any way I can. President Trump needs someone who isn’t part of the political establishment; he needs a business owner,” Noem remarked. “He needs a leader who has experience making tough decisions, especially in challenging situations.” She added, “These are the qualities he’s looking for in a running mate – someone he can trust and who will stand by him in the fight.”
Noem’s name was among several contenders disclosed to be on Trump’s shortlist for a potential running mate during a special episode of Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle.” In discussing the selection process, Noem emphasized the importance of having a team that consistently advocates for the president’s agenda.
“When President Trump chooses his vice president, I will support his decision wholeheartedly. I remain committed to defending and championing his policies,” Noem affirmed.
During another segment of the program with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Trump confirmed that several individuals, including Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Tim Scott, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, Representative Byron Donalds, and former Representative Tulsi Gabbard, were being considered for the role of vice president.
While Trump’s remarks have generated speculation within political circles, some observers question the feasibility of certain candidates listed as potential running mates, given the former president’s tendency to speak candidly.
