Harris Chastises Minority Voters

This won’t get her more votes.

On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris cautioned Black voters that they should recognize they are not part of “Donald Trump’s club” and expressed her belief that the former president does not prioritize their interests. During an interview on NFL star Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, Harris stated, “Don’t think you’re in Donald Trump’s club. You’re not. He’s not thinking about you. Do you really believe he’s inviting you over for dinner or discussing what needs to be done to address issues like Black men’s health disparities with his billionaire friends?”

When Sharpe asked about the appeal of Trump among some voters regarding economic issues, Harris emphasized that Trump has consistently failed to understand the challenges faced by the community. She posed the critical question: “Should he be President of the United States?”

Recent polling indicates that while Black voters support Harris by a significant margin of 72% to 17%, that lead has shrunk compared to the typical Democratic advantage. Harris highlighted the implications of Trump’s statements, referencing his controversial remarks about potentially terminating the U.S. Constitution, and stressed the importance of constitutional rights, such as the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments.

Harris also expressed her support for the Second Amendment, asserting that she does not advocate for taking away anyone’s guns. In addressing concerns about whether she is “pandering” to Black voters, Harris noted that there is a lot of misinformation about her identity and her record. She stated, “What I’m discussing now as president is grounded in years of work I’ve done. It’s about bringing a new approach to the presidency based on a fresh generation of leadership, innovative ideas, and experiences that reflect my commitment to the issues I care about.”
