Former DNC Chairman Sparks Controversy With Bold Claim

He’s trying to pit Trump and Biden against each other.

Former Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair Howard Dean expressed his confidence in President Biden’s physical prowess during a recent appearance on MSNBC’s “The Beat with Ari Melber.” Dean humorously suggested that Biden, at 81 years old, could easily outperform Donald Trump in a push-up contest, while conceding that Trump might have the upper hand in a cheeseburger-eating competition.

Dean also discussed the state of the 2024 presidential race, particularly focusing on the GOP nomination. He took a jab at Trump, implying that the former president had essentially secured the nomination through primary victories in states like Michigan and South Carolina, leaving little room for challengers like Nikki Haley.

Despite concerns raised by some Democrats and strategists regarding Biden’s health and mental fitness, especially in light of a report from Special Counsel Robert Hur, which characterized Biden as an elderly man with memory issues, the White House physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, recently declared Biden fit and healthy. A subsequent poll revealed that a majority of Americans consider both Biden and Trump too old to serve another presidential term, with 86% expressing concerns about Biden’s age and 62% about Trump’s.

Dean also speculated on Trump’s psychological motivations for staying in the race, suggesting that Trump’s refusal to drop out could be linked to psychological instability and a need for attention.

Overall, Dean’s remarks provided insights into the dynamics of the upcoming presidential race, highlighting both physical and psychological factors that could influence the candidates’ performances and public perceptions.
