Democrat Party Rake In Staggering Amount In February

They are going all out.

President Joe Biden’s campaign and its associated fundraising entities disclosed a remarkable achievement, having amassed $53 million in contributions during the month of February. This substantial sum propelled their combined financial reserves to a robust $155 million by the close of the previous month.

This surge marked a noteworthy $25 million escalation from the collective funds available to the Biden campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and Democratic state branches by the end of January. This uptick coincided with the formal nomination of both Biden and former President Donald Trump, signifying the commencement of the general election phase.

The campaign attributed this financial milestone to an unparalleled outpouring of grassroots support, citing February as its most successful month for grassroots fundraising since its inception in April of the preceding year. Notable events throughout the month, such as a pivotal email dispatched to donors by First Lady Jill Biden, served as catalysts for significant contributions.

Jill Biden’s involvement in crafting an email response following the release of special counsel Robert Hur’s report on her husband’s handling of classified materials post-vice presidency proved particularly impactful. Despite Hur’s conclusion that no charges should be pursued against the president, the White House critique of Hur’s commentary on Biden’s age and memory spurred a defense from Jill Biden, resulting in $853,000 in contributions for February.

Julie Chavez Rodriguez, the campaign manager, expressed pride in the unprecedented fundraising apparatus established, emphasizing its pivotal role in conveying the critical stakes of the upcoming election to voters. She outlined plans to utilize these funds to bolster state-level operations, amplify paid media outreach, and facilitate extensive campaigning efforts by Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and their respective partners nationwide.

Furthermore, the campaign celebrated a substantial influx of $2 million from grassroots contributors on February 29 alone, indicative of a resounding sentiment among donors voicing discontent and a desire for change. DNC Chair Jaime Harrison interpreted this surge in contributions as a manifestation of public frustration with the incumbent president’s policies, affirming a widespread commitment to support Biden’s campaign efforts financially.
