Business Owners Issue Stark Warning On Tim Walz

Harris’s VP pick was not popular.

Rural Minnesotans are expressing significant concerns about Governor Tim Walz’s policies, suggesting they might negatively impact small businesses if he were to become Vice President. Business owners from Mountain Lake, Minnesota, shared their grievances with Fox News Digital, describing their experiences under Walz’s administration as challenging.

Cheryl, who operates a local business, expressed frustration over what she perceives as Walz’s anti-small business stance. She specifically criticized the 2023 earned sick and safe time law, which grants employees up to 48 hours of paid time off annually. Cheryl argued that this law has created financial and operational difficulties for her business.

Similarly, Betty, a restaurant owner, voiced concerns about the paid time off law. She feels that the mandate infringes on her ability to manage her business and reward her employees on her own terms. Betty believes that the policy imposed by Walz is impractical for her business model.

Tim, an organic farmer who once supported Walz, has now withdrawn his backing. He cited dissatisfaction with Walz’s evolving policies and the direction of his leadership, although he does not question Walz’s character.

Joe, a residential building contractor, noted the adverse effects of COVID-19 lockdowns on his industry. He mentioned that while construction was deemed essential, the economic impact of the pandemic on his clients reduced their ability to afford his services.

Reflecting on these experiences, the business owners voiced concerns about a potential Harris-Walz administration. They fear that Walz’s policies, which they believe have been detrimental to small businesses in Minnesota, could have similarly negative effects on a national scale.
