Biden Responds To Mental Fitness Allegations

He has proven multiple times to be unfit.

President Joe Biden held a press conference on Thursday evening in response to a special counsel report concerning a criminal investigation into his handling of classified documents, which suggested he may be experiencing memory loss. The report, conducted by special counsel Robert Hur, found that although Biden mishandled classified materials, there was insufficient evidence to establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

While the investigation revealed that Biden knowingly retained and disclosed classified information after leaving the vice presidency, it did not conclusively prove his guilt. Hur’s report suggested that Biden could potentially use his advanced age and memory issues as a defense if brought to trial.

During the impromptu press conference, Biden emphasized his full cooperation with the special counsel’s investigation and expressed satisfaction with the acknowledgment of his cooperation in the report. He addressed concerns about his recollection of events, particularly regarding the death of his son, Beau, vehemently defending himself against implications regarding his memory.

Biden dismissed comments about his memory loss as irrelevant and declared the matter closed. When questioned by reporters, including Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy, about the severity of his memory issues, Biden made light-hearted remarks but maintained that his memory was intact. However, he did make an error when discussing international affairs, mistakenly referring to the president of Egypt as the president of Mexico.

Critics have raised concerns about Biden’s age, particularly given his status as the oldest president in U.S. history. A poll conducted by NBC News in September indicated that a significant portion of respondents viewed Biden’s age as a major or moderate concern.

Overall, Biden’s response to the special counsel report and his handling of questions about his memory underscore the ongoing scrutiny surrounding his fitness for office, especially in light of his advanced age.
