Back then, he consistently outpaced Donald Trump in national and swing state polls, often by substantial margins. However, Biden’s current challenges persist despite Trump facing mounting legal battles and four criminal cases, with one trial slated to commence soon.
Democrats are grappling with various theories to explain Biden’s current position.
Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaii remarked in an interview, “Because we haven’t made our argument yet,” highlighting Democrats’ perceived strengths on issues ranging from the economy to civil rights. He emphasized that the party has been preoccupied with legislative agendas rather than promoting their achievements. However, as the political climate evolves, Democrats plan to assert their accomplishments more vigorously, anticipating a shift in voter sentiment.
With just over seven months remaining until the election, Biden faces the daunting task of mobilizing support, especially as polls indicate a closely contested race nationally.
