Lara Trump Exposes GOP Senate Candidate

He should have thought before he said his statement.

Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee, criticized Maryland Republican Senate candidate Larry Hogan for his comments regarding the verdict in former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial during an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

Trump expressed strong disagreement with Hogan’s statement, describing it as “ridiculous” and suggesting that it lacked the respect it deserved. She emphasized her belief that Hogan’s remarks were inappropriate and unworthy of support, not only within the Republican Party but also among all Americans.

When asked whether the RNC would support Hogan’s Senate bid despite his remarks, Lara Trump avoided a direct response, reiterating her criticism of Hogan’s comments instead.

Hogan, known for his criticism of Trump, had urged Americans to respect the verdict and legal process of Trump’s trial in a recent post. However, Lara Trump and other Trump campaign advisers have condemned Hogan’s stance, with Chris LaCivita suggesting that Hogan’s Senate campaign was effectively over due to his remarks.

During the CNN interview, Lara Trump declined to provide specific details regarding the fundraising efforts to cover Donald Trump’s legal fees. She mentioned that the RNC had raised significant funds following the verdict, but she did not specify how much of that would be allocated to Trump’s legal expenses, stating that they would have to assess the situation as needed.

Despite the financial burden of the trial, Lara Trump emphasized the importance of ensuring that justice prevails in the upcoming elections, highlighting the need for accountability and the restoration of integrity in the country’s political process.
