The fundraising events are scheduled to commence in July and continue through September, primarily taking place in Texas, California, and Washington. Leveraging DeSantis’s established donor networks from his previous presidential bid, the goal is to swiftly amass funds for Trump’s political objectives.
The raised funds will be allocated towards media campaigns in crucial swing states targeted by Trump’s political circle. Technically organized under the banner of Right for America, a pro-Trump super PAC launched in January and spearheaded by Ike Perlmutter, former chairman of Marvel Entertainment at Disney, these events aim to bolster Trump’s political endeavors.
Trump himself has expressed his support for DeSantis’s involvement, praising the governor’s return to the fold during a recent South Florida donor event hosted by DeSantis.
The super PAC has already accumulated $13 million, with significant contributions from Perlmutter and other prominent donors such as Anthony Lomangino.
