According to a senior member of the Kennedy family, the gathering on St. Patrick’s Day at the White House, where they were photographed with Biden in the Rose Garden, was significant in showcasing unity across three generations and four branches of RFK Jr.’s relatives.
Regarding potential future actions involving Biden, the senior Kennedy member noted the importance of timing, hinting at a strategic approach.
Those close to the family suggest that their increased involvement in the 2024 race may take various forms. In a move to counter third-party candidates, the Democratic National Committee has appointed Mary Beth Cahill, a former chief of staff to Sen. Ted Kennedy, as a senior adviser. The DNC points to the White House photograph as evidence of the Kennedy family’s support for Biden.
