Biden Reveals New 2024 New Year’s Resolution

He’s being very optimistic.

President Biden’s New Year’s resolution for 2024, as reported by The New York Times, is to “come back next year.” This declaration emerged during a dinner at a restaurant in St. Croix, Virgin Islands, where he and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden were enjoying their vacation.

Their time in St. Croix included attending a Saturday mass and recording an interview with Ryan Seacrest, scheduled for broadcast on ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest,” according to sources.

When questioned about his resolutions, Biden emphasized the significance of returning in the upcoming year, stating it was his foremost goal. CNN’s Dana Bash discussed this resolution on “State of the Union” with former Biden communications director Kate Bedingfield and CNN political analyst Scott Jennings.

Bedingfield appreciated a resolution that could be fulfilled but acknowledged the anticipated challenges in the forthcoming campaign. She expressed confidence in the Biden team’s ability to navigate these hurdles. Conversely, Jennings, drawing from his Kentucky roots, expressed doubt about Biden’s prospects, pointing to recent polls favoring Trump in key states and theoretical match-ups.

A late November to early December Wall Street Journal poll found Trump leading Biden in head-to-head and multi-candidate scenarios. Amidst Biden’s Caribbean vacation, Republicans criticized his absence during what they perceive as an ongoing border crisis.

Representative Gary Palmer from Alabama remarked that, from their viewpoint, Biden’s presidency seemed disconnected from reality, citing the escalating number of encounters with illegal immigrants at the border since October. These critiques spotlight broader discussions about the president’s priorities and public presence during critical periods.
