Trump Teases Second Debate With Harris

It’s going to based on his mood.

Former President Trump has hinted that he might be open to participating in a second debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, despite initially declaring that another one-on-one debate was not an option. After a press conference in California on Friday, Trump was asked by Fox News’ Aishah Hasnie about the conditions that might lead him to agree to another debate.

Trump responded that he could participate in another debate “tomorrow” if necessary, stating that he had already addressed all pertinent issues in his previous debates. He also mentioned that he felt he had performed well in the debates and was leading in the polls. This stance contrasts with his earlier remarks on Truth Social, where he had dismissed the possibility of a third debate. Trump had declared that the debate was a lost cause and criticized Harris for not participating in debates arranged by Fox News and NBC News.

FOX News Media has proposed hosting another debate, with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum as moderators, and has suggested three potential dates in October. This comes as Trump’s running mate, Senator JD Vance, is scheduled to debate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on October 1, hosted by CBS News.

Trump’s recent debate appearances include a debate against President Biden in June, which Biden’s poor performance led to his withdrawal from the race, allowing Harris to become the Democratic nominee. In the subsequent ABC News debate, Trump participated under the initially agreed-upon rules, despite Harris’s attempts to modify them. Trump has since criticized the debate moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis, for their handling of the debate, accusing them of bias.
