His age is catching up to him.
After President Biden’s January 6 anniversary remarks, users on the X platform (previously Twitter) mocked him when a video circulated showing First Lady Jill Biden guiding him offstage.
Several users found it amusing and speculated that White House staff might have allowed Mrs. Biden to swiftly lead the president away from the podium, potentially to prevent any awkward moments or confusion on stage.
RNC Research’s X account shared footage from the end of Biden’s speech near Valley Forge in Pennsylvania. The clip captured Mrs. Biden joining Biden on stage, taking his hand, and leading him behind the displayed American flags, effectively ushering him offstage.
Comments from RNC Research’s Jake Schneider and HotAir.com’s Karen Townsend added to the conversation. Schneider likened Mrs. Biden’s actions to guiding a child offstage, while Townsend implied that someone needed to take charge in the situation.
TownHall.com’s official account expressed relief at Mrs. Biden’s presence, indicating gratitude that she was there to assist Biden. The Daily Mail US account also commented on the scene, noting Mrs. Biden’s immediate embrace of Biden after his speech and describing her entering a trance-like state while onstage.
Reporter Simon Ateba highlighted this moment as a new arrangement, mentioning that Mrs. Biden now escorts President Biden offstage after his remarks, addressing previous instances where Biden seemed to struggle to exit the stage.
Later that day, there were accusations of Biden appearing confused upon landing in Delaware for a weekend with his family. RNC Research shared a video clip showing Biden looking perplexed after leaving his presidential helicopter. The comment suggested Biden’s evident confusion upon arriving in Delaware after delivering a 32-minute speech following a two-week vacation.
